Ṅ Ø Ð Ṣ̌ It's kind a bitch to coordinate some dedicated nod testing for all our products . However, given how many night fighter nerds are out there, we figure share some preliminary results. Given the relatively high polyester content of our ripstop fabrics, and our current fabric production processes, we dont have claim to have NIR compliance. Don't worry too much about machine washing and detergent, though we always recommend air drying to maintain camo colors. However, some of our products still perform better under nods than others. Among all our cammies so far, the best performer under nods is the West German Sumpftarn. Just something about how the khaki and browns go together. Maybe the Germans were already thinking about this in the 1950s, given that we see the same results in original BGS issue uniforms. Perhaps some super autistic German man or woman sketched out the original pattern and colors with a Starlight scope strapped to their face! It'll take us a bit, but we plan on compiling a lot more data on this front, including comparisons between minty NIR compliant garments, and our stuff. Despite the polyester content, the Sumpftarn does remarkably well when compared with modern NIR compliant fabrics. We plan on getting more pictures once things are more organized on the nods front. Bear in mind, our current SME is doing cool guy stuff in Africa right now. Once there's more data in the summer, we'll put it out. Panzer grenadier next to an experimental tank in the wheat field. Combat testing. Every winter since 2020 I catch that althistory wehraboo mood and build some 1946 type German stuff like E-79 the last year. This scene is no exception: another experimental tank, but in the field instead of an urban cityscape. I also had an idea to use those tan technic pins for months if not years. Accidentally found ~330 of them on bricklink and couldn't pass on this opportunity. But it is not as many as it sounds, so I had to make do. Will post a Behind the scene pics later so you'll see. Hope this scene won't be an only use of these parts though 😁 As for the tank, I have a weakness for E-series experimental vehicles, and E-10 seems the easiest one to build in my favourite Dark Tan color scheme (this time with dark red spots to represent the factory primer). Although my habit of collecting vintage jackets (she would say hoarding) is often the reason for semi serious arguments and she has absolutely zero interest in anything camouflage my lovely girlfriend got me this rather special jacket for Christmas which makes it even more special to me. Love you no shit! It’s a 1967 federal German border guard parka in swamp pattern (Sumpftarn). First introduced in 1952 swamp pattern gear got used officially until 1976 but even after that the GSG9 used helmet covers in this pattern. Nowadays these parkas are getting pretty rare. Especially with the liner still present and the pocket flap on the right sleeve not ripped off. De Derde Kerstdag Rit 2023 was voor ons allen een succesvolle dag alle 33 voertuigen zijn weer heelhuids terug gekomen. We waren in de ochtend van start gegaan in Heiloo en vervolgens richting Medemblik waar onze eerste stop zou plaatsvinden het @oorlogsmuseum_medemblik die voor ons allen een uitgebreid lunch klaar gemaakt hadden en waar we hun prachtige museum hebben kunnen bewonderen. Jeep beanie af voor al hun harde werk! Mede dankzij jullie was het voor ons allen een onvergetelijke rit 🙌 Vervolgens weer opgewarmd en de voertuigen weer warm gedraaid vervolgden de rit weer verder richting Petten voor de tweede tussen stop. De Goudvis waar iedereen weer op kon warmen met een drankje om vervolgens via Schoorl/Bergen/Egmond/Limmen op de eind locatie te komen waar er door 4 koks live gekookt werd en af te sluiten met borrel.
