Erste Bearbeitung am eignen Pferd mit Abschluss 🤣. Die Hufe waren nach 3.5 Wochen wieder fällig. Mehr als das. Habe auch diesmal wirklich Sohle (bzw. eher Eckstrebe rundherum) nehmen müssen. Hab die Sohlen seit dem Schub eigentlich gar nicht angefasst aber diesmal musste ich einfach etwas dran machen. Ansonsten hat sie dieses Mal die größere Größe von den Goodsmith-Platten bekommen. Zum einen weil die 120er zu klein geworden sind, andererseits hatte ich eh vor die 130er mal auszuprobieren, weil sie dann im Trachtenbereich mehr Unterstützung hat. Sie hat oft abgekaut bei der Bearbeitung und ist danach zieeeemlich flott gelaufen. Und da es ihr so gut geht werden wir Ende Juni auf die Bullero-Ranch fahren. Dort treffen wir auch auch @nataliekaschuge, das freu ich mich besonders. Drei Showmanship-Prüfungen kann Dafina locker laufen, da könnte es eher sein, dass es mir nicht gut tut mit meinem Bänderriss-Bein 🙈. Und dann werde ich mal den Ranch-Trail nennen. Ob ich ihn dann reite kommt auf die Pattern und auf mein Gefühl an. Wir werden sehen. Aber ich freue mich! week 1 of the YVP program in Wakulima, Kenya has been a success! -we arrived in Nairobi and spent a day shopping and visiting giraffes at the giraffe center! -we drove to our placement in Wakulima and toured the dairy. it was very cool to see all the machines involved in processing milk for products like yogurt! -we attended farm visits and seminars and helped farmers with managing calves, heifers and milking cows. this week has mainly been training so we didn’t run the seminars, but got to do lots of physical exams on cows! -we saw lots of cool plants and wildlife (including a battersbys green snake and helmeted chameleon) -on saturday we hiked at the ngare ndare forest and saw cape buffalo and giraffe, as well as learned loads of cool facts from our excellent guide -obligatory photo at the equator :) #vetswithoutborders #vwbna #vwb #yvp #volunteer #kenya #farming #dairyfarmer #cows #milk #travel

🎉BEZIRKSSTELLENVERSAMMLUNG🎉 Am Dienstag war es wieder soweit: Vertreter:innen aller Ortsstellen und zahlreiche Gäste sind der Einladung gefolgt und haben die Bezirksstellenversammlung beim Schmankerlwirt in Vorderweißenbach zu einem stimmungsvollen Rotkreuz-Abend gemacht. Die unterschiedlichen Facetten des Roten Kreuzes, sowie die Ehrung und Beförderung verdienter Mitarbeiter:innen waren die Schwerpunkte der Tagesordnung. Der interessante Bericht von Ortsstellenleiter Othmar Weber über die Projekte der Vereinigung für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und dem Roten Kreuz in mehreren Ländern Afrikas war ein weiteres Highlight. 👏 Die Ehrengäste und Vertreter der Einsatzorganisationen zeigten sich beeindruckt von den Leistungen der Urfahraner Rotkreuz-Familie und betonten bei ihren Grußworten die hervorragende Zusammenarbeit im Bezirk. Sichtlich stolz waren Bezirksstellenleiter BH Dr. Paul Gruber und Bezirksgeschäftsleiter Peter Haslinger.
