Last week we visited @lafusinawine . 🏞️Located in the picturesque village of Dogliani in the Piedmont region, La Fusina is a family-owned winery producing wine since 1914. Bouquets of roses and aromatic plants intoxicate upon arriving to the winery and the vineyard stretches out before you. 👨🌾Massimo and Federica Abbona have a lot of love for their land, which was passed on to them by their father, Luigi. 🏡The estate covers a total of 20 hectars, of which 18 are dedicated to vineyards. The various micro-climates created by the hills and valleys of the region Langhe influenced by the continental climate of the entire area, stimulates particularly fine and aromatic nuances in the wines. This allows the creation of fresh wines of great olfactory richness but counterbalanced with structure and power. 🍇The winery offers an excellent choice of handcrafted wines including Barolo DOCG, Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, Dogliani DOCG, Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore, Langhe DOC Chardonnay, and Langhe DOC Sauvignon. 🌿La Fusina implements a sustainable agriculture to promote soil health and to ensure their grape varieties flourish in harmony with nature. E si magari, ieri ci siamo stati eccome con questa bella bottiglia, un Kerner della cantina Zanotelli nella val di Cembra. Il Kerner nasce, come sappiamo, dall’incrocio di due vitigni, il riesling renano e la schiava grossa, in Germania nel 1929, ed è coltivato per l’appunto in Germania, in Austria e ovviamente in Trentino Alto Adige. Ieri lo abbiamo abbinato a delle “bistecche” di tonno fresco cotte alla griglia e accompagnate successivamente da un pomodoro fresco condito con aglio, prezzemolo e olio. 🔶la fermentazione viene fatta in acciaio e successivamente affinato in bottiglia. 🔶Analizzandolo dal punto di vista organolettico appare al colore di un giallo paglierino tenue con riflessi verdolini, di sufficiente consistenza, al naso regala un ottimo bouquet, dalla pesca agli agrumi passando per la frutta tropicale, fiori di ginestra mimosa e rosa gialla, note importanti dí idrocarburi, note vegetali, note iodate e piccole erbette aromatiche, in bocca è fresco intenso e persistente, di medio corpo e assolutamente tipico del luogo, con un bel finale frutta secca. 🔶uno di quei vini particolari che il Trentino sa regalare, mineralità, intensità olfattiva e una beva ruffiana, che ti ammalia e ti seduce…top! . . The Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA) was officially recognized in 1986. Perfectly situated 90 miles east of the San Francisco Bay, the Lodi AVA is one of the largest in California at approximately 550,000 acres, more than 100,000 of which are planted to premium wine grapes. The Lodi region enjoys a moderate Mediterranean climate. Mild year-round temperatures, warm days, and cool nights all help produce grapes with full-flavor and perfect acidity. Sandy clay loam soils dominate in the region. They are rich in minerals and play a great role in producing wines of high quality and long-lasting flavors that truly represent the region.
