Sally is a middle aged woman who has been abused by her husband, Jim, for over 20 years - and it has only gotten worse due to the COVID lockdown. One morning when defending herself, she hits Jim with a frying pan, instantly killing him. By chance, she ends up meeting some of the other women in her neighborhood who have also killed their abusive husbands during lockdown. So, they devise a plan to hide the bodies and make it look like a freak accident, that none of the wives were involved in.

I enjoyed reading this book, as it was a nice change of pace from the thrillers I have been reading lately. At the library, it was marked as “mystery”, though I really wouldn’t consider this book a mystery at all. It was more of a story about women’s empowerment and finding freedom after abuse. The book was funny and pretty uplifting, despite the title.
