Told me "It's 90's Basti". But recently he also touched my heart when in our last project, when asked why he included me in his team, he told the interviewer: "I've shared gigs with Hoochie Coochie Mikkie for a while now but in each time he never failed in his performances. Galeria Paloma is pleased to include Hamill Buyco in its roster for ‘Un|Tethered’, the gallery’s exhibition for @artfairph that explores the concept that artists are not limited to one medium of creative expression, but are constantly challenging their creative trajectory with new mediums, forms, and collaborations. A holographic installation at the exhibition will be on display, executed collaboratively by Hamill Buyco and artist and wife Sarah de Verya-Buyco, combining their artistic signatures in their work for ‘Un|Tethered’. They are presenting a holographic piece derived from the digital-graphite work “Nebula 3” by de Veyra-Buyco that explores the relationship between the finite and the infinite, the duality between the fathomable and the mystery of the unknown as symbolized by the cosmos. The actual hologram will be created by Hamill Buyco, a 3D artist and animator who is a digital and visual artist in his own right. Hamill Buyco received his MA in 3D Animation with merit from the Buckinghamshire New University in the UK. He graduated with honors from the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg with a BFA in Media Arts and Animation and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked freelance for Gorgaonaut Studios, Philadelphia and Snipple Animation Studios in the Philippines, and conducted animation workshops for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Galeria Paloma is pleased to include Isaiah Cacnio in ‘Un|Tethered’ as the collaborator of the artist Carlos. ‘Un|Tethered is the gallery’s exhibition for @artfairph that explores the concept that artists are not limited to one medium of creative expression, but are constantly challenging their creative trajectory with new mediums, forms, and collaborations. For Carlos, teaming up with Cacnio has opened up a new way to experience his art that has always been in line with his ethos. With over 200 frames for each ‘world,’ the canvas essentially comes alive with movement and music. Coming from an engineering background and a passion for creativity stemming from childhood, Cacnio honed his talent as a motion graphics artist and animator leading projects and teams of sold-out events such as the Van Gogh Alive exhibit in BGC. Since then, he has worked behind-the-scenes in many different projects here and abroad requiring his highly mechanical and creative skills. Galeria Paloma is pleased to include Isaiah Cacnio in ‘Un|Tethered’ as the collaborator of the artist Carlos. ‘Un|Tethered is the gallery’s exhibition for @artfairph that explores the concept that artists are not limited to one medium of creative expression, but are constantly challenging their creative trajectory with new mediums, forms, and collaborations. For Carlos, teaming up with Cacnio has opened up a new way to experience his art that has always been in line with his ethos. With over 200 frames for each ‘world,’ the canvas essentially comes alive with movement and music. Coming from an engineering background and a passion for creativity stemming from childhood, Cacnio honed his talent as a motion graphics artist and animator leading projects and teams of sold-out events such as the Van Gogh Alive exhibit in BGC. Since then, he has worked behind-the-scenes in many different projects here and abroad requiring his highly mechanical and creative skills. He is an esteemed crypto artist in his own right: his work, ‘Prismatic Embrace,’ will be projected onto the Ayala Triangle Gardens from 8 February and for the duration of the fair. I captured this photo of the rock band, Lokomotiv in Orange County, California. The band consisted of Filipino rock legends who formed the group around 2003. This photo was taken in 2005 as part of a press kit for their album, “Rock N’ Roll Death Toll”. I got the gig when i cold-called the group sending them multiple emails, waiting to see if anyone would reply. I learned fundamentals in photography by doing the same by reaching out to influential photographers that i admire to offer my assistance, even though I had no prior experience.
