Whether you enjoy canning with them in the fall or you just have a few around that you use for various crafts and DIY projects, these things are just so versatile! Here are more great ways to organize around the house. ⤵️ ⦿ This sewing kit with a pin cushion on top is the best way to keep your hand sewing essentials organized. You create the pin cushion on the lid of the mason jar and store your sewing necessities inside the jar. ⦿ Organize, arrange, and store all the hardware in shallow mason jars. With this, you can easily find your nails, screws, thumbtacks, etc. ⦿ Store baker's twine in a mason jar topped with a daisy cut-out lid. Fix-It Friday: FIX THAT GREASY BATHTUB..🛁🚿🧹 We continue our cleaning hacks in the bathroom... How to clean the bathtub the easy way. • Squirt dish soap over all the bathtub. You can add baking soda if your bathtub is extra dirty. • Take a (new) broom or brush; scrub until the soap scum, mildew, or grease disappears; turn on the shower; and rinse the tub clean. To clean the drain: • Pour about a half cup of baking soda down the drain, and then pour in vinegar until it bubbles up to the top of the drain. •Leave that for about 15 minutes, and then pour really hot water (not quite to boiling) down the drain. This will help disinfect the drain and clean it too. Fix-It Friday: FIX THOSE DIRTY OVEN RACKS🧼 How To Clean Oven Racks The Easy Way: 👩🍳🥖🍪 • Remove the racks from your oven. • Fill your bathtub with HOT water and squirt some dish soap in there to make it soapy. • Now throw a whole bunch of dryer sheets in there too. • Carefully place your oven racks in the bathtub. You might want to lay an old towel down first so your oven racks don’t scratch the tub. • Now just wait. You have to let the racks soak for a few hours. The dryer sheets help the grease and grime separate from the racks. The dish soap also cuts the grease. • After they have soaked, you should see that a lot of that gunk came off already! Scrub your oven racks with the wet dryer sheets – it’s magical how that grease just disappears. Fix-It Friday: FIX THAT PAINT REMINDER 👩🎨 It's easy to forget which room is which color, especially when its different shades of gray. 😩 I always ask for an extra label to wrap around a stir stick. When I'm done with the project, I let the stir stick dry and drill a hole near the top of it. Then I label both the stick and the can with the name of the room where I used the paint. Fix-It Friday: FIX THOSE TUB JETS! 🛁 . We show homes all the time with jetted tubs in the owner's suite. 🛀 During inspection time, we also see *nasty* gunk come out of those jets. YUCK! 🤢 We've found a product that will help clean out those icky jets so you can be assured to take a CLEAN bath in your beautiful, new tub! ✨ . Try 'O Yuk'. (You can find it for $16.99 on Amazon!) Fill the tub with hot water that covers the jets. Pour 4 oz of 'O Yuk' into the water. Run the tub with the jets on for 15 minutes. Then drain the tub and wipe clean with a towel. That's it! 😀👌 . Whew! 😝 It was a whirlwind of showings and offerings on our newest listing. 🏡 Our seller received and reviewed several fabulous offers. We are happy to report he is now *Under Contract* after only ONE day on the market! 😀 Wahoo! 🎉
Fix-It Friday: FIX THAT DUSTY FAN ✳️ . Cleaning the fan blades always seems to end up with dust in your face and on top of the surface below. Yuck! 😵 No one wants that! We found an *easy* hack to fix both of these issues! 👍 . While the fan is off, put a pillow case around the base of the fan blade (closest to the motor). Close the pillow case around the blade and slide it down the fan blade, taking all of the dust with you and keeping it trapped in the pillowcase. Continue this process over all of the fan blades. ❤️ RED DAY UPDATE! ❤️ Each year in May, Keller Williams agents all over the world put their business on hold for the day and volunteer within their communities! {RED Day stands for Renew, Energize, Donate!} This year we had the pleasure of volunteering at Never Alone Food Pantry in Woodstock. Never Alone serves our community by providing over 1 million pounds of food a year to residents in need. They also have a unique approach to a food pantry, allowing each individual or family to shop for what they would like to eat (rather than pre-made boxes). . The agents in our office showed up and accomplished a variety of projects on Thursday. We were able to build them a new fence for their Garden area, allowing them to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for their pantry. We also painted the doors, porches, and exterior steps, added beautiful new flooring in their main pantry area, put together new shelving, built benches, put up shutters, cleaned up the landscaping, deep cleaned the interior of their building, painted a mural on on one of their walls, and purchased them a brand new pallet loader. We ❤️ our neighborhood! We hand delivered brown bags to all 180 homes in our neighborhood, asking our neighbors to participate in our shoe drive, if they were able to do so. 👟👞🥿 Well... Our neighbors showed up and showed out!! 😍 We collected all of the bags on Sunday afternoon, and completely filled the bed of Josh's truck with their shoe donations! 🙌 Wahoo!!!
