COMMUNITY NOTICE: RANDBURG SERVICE DELIVERY CENTRE AREAS In an effort to fastrack the rollout of the token identifier (TID) programme, City Power customers will from Monday, 15 April 2024 recode their own meters using an automated system. This smooth and effortless process will ensure that metering codes are upgraded through a do-it-yourself (DIY) method, to ensure that on 24 November 2024, all prepaid meters are fully converted. Along with metering conversion, City Power has also been rolling out meter auditing simultaneously. Due to delays caused by customers refusing our agents access into their homes over security concerns, City Power has decided to implement the DIY initiative. It's important to note that without this upgrade, customers will no longer be able to top up their electricity units after the November deadline.
