That’s the moon you see 🌖 Interlaken was our base from which we took many day trips and I couldn’t recommend it more. Stepping outside of our hotel and seeing these views made the hotel worth it. For the price and location I would recommend it. Switzerland is very pricey so if you’re expecting luxury accommodations you will have to pay very luxury prices 😅 Depending on the type of trip I don’t mind sacrifcing accommodations for location and price. We were only ever in the hotel to sleep and it also included breakfast (which we took full advantage of 😂) 📍Hotel Beausite Interlaken 📸 all photos were taken with iPhone and some were slightly edited with @phlowapp (my new favorite editing app!) Twin Lakes, CO, refers not just to an obviously-named pair of alpine lakes but also a census-designated place (population around 200) and a historic district in Lake County. The first people to inhabit the area were Ute tribes that hunted game animals throughout the mountains during the year's warm months. However, White settlers quickly moved into the area in the 19th century in search of gold, pushing out both the Ute people and the game on which they relied. Prospectors founded Dayton in the 1860s. Gold mining turned to silver mining, and the town became "Twin Lakes" in the coming decade. By the end of the century, the town was an important tourist attraction that included the large Inter-Laken Hotel on the southern shore. Though the resort closed, the tourist attraction remains. ¿QUÉ HACER EN BARILOCHE? Hoy te traemos la increíble vista desde el Cerro Campanario, ubicado a solo 18 km del hotel y 20 min en auto. Tiene una altura de 1.050 m s. n. m. y el ascenso puede realizarse tanto en aerosilla como a pie. La caminata consta de 1 km de distancia y 240 m de desnivel por hermosos bosques. Today, we present the amazing view from Cerro Campanario, set only 18 k away from the hotel and a 20 min drive. Its summit is at 1050 m MSL and you can get there either by using the chairlift or hiking. The hike goes through beautiful forests and its distance is of 1 k and has an elevation gain of 240 m.
