Every time we visited places or even when driving past some sceneries, Dr Lai would share some interesting stories and perspectives and asked me to share my point of view or related experiences. The interactions were meaningful and the relationship grew as we shared more about ourselves. Dr Lai was caring starting from the first day we met. He helped me move into the dorm, asked me if I needed anything, and suggested some living tips in Edmonton occasionally. Dr Lai also drove me to the airport on the last day in Edmonton and we appreciated everything from each other. During our California Highway 1 road trip, Dr Ding prompted me and other exchange students to reflect on American society and encouraged us to compare it with our cultural context in China. He encouraged us to think through the lenses of our academic disciplines. This reflective exercise prompted me to explore the nuances of how my major - law - intersected with the broader socio-cultural landscape. Dr Ding also introduced us to some unfamiliar social facts about the US. Research into AI frameworks and platforms. 2. PythonIDE setup. Used Visual Studio Code and Pycharm. 3. Installing libraries (textblob, nltk etc) and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow etc). 4. Code generation with ChatGPT. 5. Code debugging.Code debugging done with the aide of Tabnine AI code assistant. Glad I took up this challenge of mentorship.
