Here we are in week 9 (is it?) of lockdown. How are you all coping? Sorry for the lack of communication on our front. We haven't had much IG worthy things to report. Our humans have been doing dreaded DI-WHY-we ask we hate it. We like living in the house as it was. We don't appreciate change of any kind. Other than that we have been going for our walk first thing to avoid crowds of people and have been managing to go further than normal due to the humans being at home. And just like *that* I am demoted from "Office Manager" to my previous role "pet" 🙄 Turns out there's no longer an office to manage. My human has been told her work is "on hold" for the next 3 months. So whilst I feel sad that my career was stopped prematurely. It is good because I can snuggle and lick her without it being deemed inappropriate. We are now going to have plenty of uninterrupted time together. Can't think of any better news. I've appointed myself as the new Office Manager round here. I keep a beady eye on the workers at all times, follow them around the house to ensure that when they say they are going for a drink or a comfort break that's exactly what they are doing and that they aren't skiving off. It's not all negative micro managing though... I ensure to keep morale up that if they so much as look at me I wag my tail to let them no that they are doing a great job! Sometimes I will sit on them if they have done something really really well. It's all about a balance of keeping productivity and morale up Up UP!!! There has been some really great news and some really scary news this week. The scary news is the virus is taking more of a hold everywhere which is frightening. But the great news is our humans are now STAYING AT HOME with us FOREVER!! We even did our first conference call with our humans work today. How did you get on with Fireworks Night (week)? We have got through it so far... With loud tv/ music in every room, Adaptil diffuser and tablets. However one of us (Shellac) did have to sleep sandwiched between our humans on *the* night. We aren't usually allowed to but after trying to bury myself under the sofa and getting stuck (I'm not puppy sized any more!) It was the only way to make sure I was ok. I went from terrified to content in 0.3 secs. Full on sighing with content relaxedness.
