Last Monday, our Business Honors students completed session 2 of the Career Launch Initiative (CLI). Thank you to everyone who participated! This two session mentorship program provides students the opportunity to build a toolkit for success and enhance their confidence for future career paths. During an intense Q&A session, students refined their interview techniques and got real-time feedback from seasoned professionals on the CLI Professional Advisory Council. Rain or Shine🌦️: Capturing Grad Photos in Unpredictable Weather! Dealing with unpredictable weather during Irma’s photoshoot at Stanislaus State was quite the adventure! The forecast kept flip-flopping between cloudy skies and no rain at all. Despite the uncertainty, we decided to go ahead with the shoot. To our surprise, rain greeted us for most of the session. Given our busy schedules, we were determined to make the best of it. I quickly found an indoor location where we could start with a few shots in dry conditions. Irma was a real trooper, braving the weather with a positive attitude.💪🏽 We managed to capture some beautiful shots before the rain intensified. That’s when we shifted gears and explored other locations around campus, finding covered areas to continue the shoot. Though we had to adjust our plans, Irma was delighted with the results. Despite the weather challenges, we still achieved some fantastic shots. 📸 Take a look and let me know what you think!

Entrepreneurship student Devon Rodriguez, ‘24 and alumni Rishi Birudaraj, Entrepreneurship ‘23, are making waves with their innovative project, Plastic Purge. After securing the 3rd place for Best Innovation at the Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge (SVIC) competition last semester, they’re now finalists in a prestigious entrepreneurship competition hosted by @washu. Out of 120 concepts from 65 universities and 14 countries, they have secured a spot among the top 14 finalists! Come visit our newest exhibit, now open on the 5th floor of King Library! A Life Without Limits: Faricita Hall Wyatt was curated by University Archivist Carli Lowe. The exhibit shares the life story of SJSU alum (Class of 1935, Speech) Faricita Hall Wyatt, revealing her endeavors in the realms of poetry, art, civil service, education, and computer programming.
