Levi #thepatriotbmx Walkington struggled much of the weekend. He made 5 out of 7 mains, but only managed one podium, a 2nd place finish in Class on Sunday. He definitely ended on a high note. Levi learned a few things. One, you cannot rest on your laurels in this sport. You have to keep training hard, because if youโre not, the other riders are! Two, just because you have a couple bad races, doesnโt mean you will continue to have bad races. Levi was definitely in his head and getting too down on himself. Three, you canโt change the past, so get PAST it and focus on what you can change! I absolutely love the fire in this kidโs belly, itโs so fun! The boys swept Goodyear and won 7 out 8 mains over the weekend. #WaterboyBMX didnโt lose a lap, but 13 is right around the corner for him and thereโs already a couple fast 13 year olds waiting for him. Itโll be interesting to see him transition to clips for the first time. #ThePatriotBMX was determined not to be beat on his home track, and that 10x group is stacked! Good battles. Good fun. After a soggy wet Saturday where his cruiser bike chain was too tight and binding his gears (Factory Dad Fail!), and crashing in class, Levi โThe Patriotโ Walkington swept 9 Cruiser and 9 Expert on Sunday! That was his first time winning Class and Cruiser on the same day! Wish this would have been a 3 Day National as Utah has been good to Levi. James โWaterboyโ Walkington was out front a lot early in races, but fell back on the last straight too many times. He struggled in Class not making it out of rounds... Not exactly the results we were looking for. #mynag10boys need to work on consistency. However, through adversity comes strength. #waterboybmx made 4 out of 6 mains, narrowly missing class mains on Friday and Sunday. This was Jamesโ first national since aging up to 12 years old. This was also his first National since switching from an Expert bike to a Pro, which has become an adjustment for him. He was able to improve his class NAG points, but unfortunately not his cruiser NAG points. #thepatriotbmx was sluggish to say the least until Sunday Class Finals when he got 2nd. Although he made all of his mains, and improved his NAG points with every one of them, he left ABQ feeling like he missed a major opportunity. This has made the boys want to push harder and represent better for FALL RISK Racing. Until the next National, ๐๐๐
