How many doors do you need to get into the living room from the front of the house? Three, apparently.. I vote..remove pergola. Replace with screened porch or sun room enclosing both of the living room door, and then under the same roof, a covered but not enclosed entry porch in front of the entry door. Kitchen is large but spread out. If you don't need an island or table in the middle, you could carve out space for a lavatory. Upstairs is fine, though I'd move the bed elsewhere in that front right bedroom! I kind of like it. The front entry right into the stairs isn't good for guests, but great for moving in mattresses and dressers. ๐Ÿ˜„ I like the main floor bedroom with full bathroom. I like the awkwardly long living room but I'm not sure if I like the fireplace/book nook set up. I feel like you could have a more square living room and then also a separate library/den in that same space? The kitchen is a bit small for me. If I didn't use the maid's room as my painting studio, I'd probably use it to create a larger kitchen and utility room. Upstairs, two good sized bedrooms, each with a sleeping porch, and one shared bathroom. I would increase the size of the bathroom dormer/peak so that it matched the roof on the front. You could use the added space for laundry or storage.
