๐ฏ Took the group of students to visit Yu Xu Temple, one of the iconic and historic buildings in Wudang. This is where I used to train back in the early days of 2011 when the old school was just next to the temple. ๐ฟ Today, the temple has been beautifully revamped and is open to the public. ๐ต We were honored to have Master Liu Xiang (ๆตๆน), co-founder of ไบๆบช่ๅ and ๆญฆๅฝๆพๆบชๆดพไผ ไบบ, host us for an enlightening morning tea and sharing session with our team, NewAgeTaichi. Our team comprises students from Singapore, Malaysia, USA, Austria, and Hungary. Master Liu Xiang graciously gave us a tour of the academy and the students' classroom, where they delve into Chinese history, poetry, calligraphy, Gu Qin, and Wudang Kung Fu. During the tea session, Master Liu Xiang shared his profound knowledge on Taoist cultivation and recounted his experiences of years of self-isolation meditation in the mountains alongside his Wudang brothers. His humility and passion for Tai Chi and Taoist philosophy deeply impressed and inspired everyone present. As a gesture of friendship, we shared some of our local Singapore snacks with the students, who in turn delighted us with their homemade treats. ๐ฏ Day 3 of our Wudang Immersion Training brings a half-day of training followed by a well-deserved school rest day! ๐ช Starting the day with Morning Five Animals Qigong, always a source of energy and vitality, followed by a hearty breakfast to fuel our adventures. ๐ ๐ณ In the afternoon, we ventured to ้็ๅฎซ (Yu Zhen Palace) for Tai Chi practice and some unforgettable video recordings. The cool, refreshing weather provided the ideal atmosphere for our Tai Chi session amidst the tranquil afternoon. ๐ฌ๏ธ But the excitement didn't end there! We made a pit stop at the Taichi tailor shop, ้ๆณๅถ่กฃๅ, to collect our costumes... and ended up leaving with even more costumes! ๐ We couldn't resist! Had a fantastic group photo with the two lovely lady bosses, who were thrilled to welcome overseas customers like us. ๐ธ Dinner was an absolute feast as we indulged in my favorite ๅคๅฉๅฎถไนก่ restaurant. ๐ฟ Day 2 afternoon training continues, with the introduction of new movements emphasizing the importance of self-practice. Learning Tai Chi requires dedication, hard work, and commitment - there are no shortcuts on this journey. ๐ช ๐ค Dinner brought a pleasant surprise as prawns made their appearance on the menu! A sumptuous meal truly has the power to erase the memory of earlier tough training sessions. ๐ ๐งโโ๏ธ In the evening, we indulged in meditation sessions at 6:30pm, finding a balance between high and low training intensity for both body and mind. ๐ ๐ฌ๏ธ With cooler weather this evening, there's nothing better than snuggling into a warm blanket for an early night's rest.
