LIME GREEN. Continuing with the series of posts on unveiling the variants, presenting to you - Lime green. Why does the hour disc have a cut out in it? Even though it is not visible from the top, there is a cut out in the hour disc. The discs are very thin. This presents a unique challenge in trying to preserve its flatness during disassembly. THE CONCEPT. We do not have any hands in the Pioneer version of the AA-01. Replacing them are discs with pointers. Each pointer is a window - a through and through cut out - with the application of super luminova. The challenges overcome to bring concept to reality were many. So we proudly present you this "planetary system" of telling time. The smaller satellite in the larger disc indicates the hours. The larger satellite in the smaller disc indicates the minutes. This in turn means that there is no conventional dial present in the timepiece. Hence, the indices on the case. Having these discs enables us to showcase a myriad of colours and finishes. In this version, we have the blue variant. The crown. For the AA - 01, we present you a unique crown design. The crown has four protrusions/pillars each perpendicular to the other. This helps the user to wind more efficiently in different conditions. Our unique case shape is a nod to the pocket watch era. We take pride in the amount of work that has gone into finalising the case aesthetics and its details.
