Perhaps an unknown fact about me is that one of my favourite moments of a wedding day is delivering wedding party florals to my couples. I tie bow ties, pin boutonnières, fix pocket squares, give bouquet tutorials, calm nerves, and have a chance to see my couples in their element with all their favourite people. We always laugh, we occasionally cry, we ooh and ahh, and leave the room telling them the next we time we return it’s go time! 10 years ✨ If you can't share your wedding photos on your anniversary, when can you?! I always love looking back & reliving all the memories each year ... and now sharing them with our daughter too. 💕 As a wedding planner & from my own experience, one piece of wedding advice I give all my engaged clients is to tune out all the (unsolicited) opinions & be 💯 true to yourselves. To us that meant laughing (and crying) during our ceremony, a surprise ice cream truck, unconventional kissing games, dancing until 3 am and an epic cheese-cake 🧀 that you'll have to swipe ⬅️ to believe! And if I could give one piece of advice after a decade of marriage 💕 it's that you have to choose each other over and over and over (and over) again. P A R T I // When designing A&C’s ceremony space, we knew it had to be unique. Having already held their sealing ceremony at the temple earlier that day, we wanted their ring ceremony to be inclusive of any guests who were unable to attend the morning ceremony. Opting for a less traditional rounded approach surrounding the couple with love, we finished this layout off with an infinity arch brought expertly to life by @fallforflorals. Symbolic of the rings they were exchanging and their eternal commitment to one another, this arch created a clear vantage point from any angle. I think the reason I love this image so much is that it takes me back to how I felt when I turned the corner to the top of my own wedding aisle. It’s the pinnacle of butterflies and anticipation as you glimpse your future waiting for you at the altar. As much as you may want to rush up the aisle into the arms of your love, try to pause a moment and soak in this feeling, it only comes once in a lifetime 🕊️ We had the pleasure of visiting @archwaymanor last week to see the progress of the venue, and in our humble opinion, a more stunning Alberta venue does not exist. It allows you to spend some time with your photographer before your big day and get a feel for what it will be like to work with one another. For many couples, they aren’t used to some of the poses. A good photographer knows how to guide you through it to make it look and feel natural, but doing this ahead of time helps eliminate some of the awkwardness on the wedding day itself!
