✨ Excitée de vous annoncer mon plongeon total dans la photographie. Je me concentre principalement sur mon projet photographique axé sur l'amour de soi. C'est une aventure dédiée à la redécouverte du corps et à l'amour de soi. J'ai récemment entrepris une série d'autoportraits, une expérience libératrice après une longue absence devant l'objectif. In the Fields of Punishment The air is heavy with our mistakes. Minos wears his crown of judgment proudly, as he points his ghostly finger towards the landscape where we will spend eternity attempting to purify our bodies of the fallacies the earth left on our skin. Here, there is no quiet. The wind screams at you and you scream back, spinning in circles and too afraid to open your eyes and risk not recognizing your surroundings. The sand does not scrub you clean, in partnership with the wind it weaponizes against your bare skin and slices you into pieces. Fragmentation implies the idea that the body, at some point in the expanse of time, was whole. Were we ever? Perhaps in the womb, but these sands of time take pieces of you with them. A blessing and a curse I suppose, to evolve at the cost of loss. But what a tragedy it is that in order to give, we have to take. Unlike your friends in asphodel we do not have the privilege of forgetting here. It is our punishment to remember.

More inquiries of the body, this time influenced by the unbeatable Carolee Schneeman “Portrait Partials,” from 1970. It is always around this time of year that I start to question the body I am trapped in and the fractured lives it leads. This piece is part of a new series I am hesitantly working on that is inherently body-driven, it is a transformative attempt to forge a connection between the ways I experience my body as a woman and the ways cultural depiction tells me I should.
