Open House at Central Embassy If you are looking for a place to ✅ keep your kid entertain while you are eating ✅ offer variety of food and drinks including vegan options ✅ easily get there by skytrain and have parking spaces available Check out the Open House located on the 6th floor of Centrl Embassy which has a connection from BTS ploenchit station. Once you get up there you will see a massive space of book shop, area for sitting, having food, shared working space and of course kids friendly area with big slider and ball pit. I took my son there since they first opened and back then he only enjoyed the ball pit as the slider was too scary 😂 but we just went back there again after a few years and he loves it! Going up and down the slider countless of times. The kid can use this facility for 1 hour per round and please bring socks otherwise you have to buy another pair from them. This place is perfect meeting spot when I want to meet up with my friends (who have kid or without kid) since we can chat, order different kind of food and desserts while my son is busy with his play. In the same floor there is a comfy (and pricy) cinema too if you want to check it out. 💰 It used to be free to play inside kids area but now you have to spend 400 baht at any shops in Open House and show the receipt to the staff before the kid can get in. Asiatique the Riverfront My family doesn't normally go out in the evening but one day during my son's school break we just wanna stay up late and go outside to see some night light and I can't think of any place other than Asiatique. Asiatique the riverfront is located next to the Chaopraya river. It used to be a boat pier with old warehouses. Now it's a nice shipping arcade with lots of cool events and nice restaurants. My kid loves the big ferris wheel and the proper Mary go round. He's interested in the haunted house too but fortunately he's still too small to go in (as I don't want to go along 😂) If you want to have luxurious experience dining on a boat, check out a place called Sirimahanop. Soul Salt River City We were in the mood for art so we headed to a painting bar near the river called 'Soul Salt River City'. It's located on the 1st floor of a very arty building where many cool art exhibitions are hosted, River City. The whole street is also full of interesting graffiti which we normally see people taking some photos. I love that the place is covered in sand. I makes me feel like I'm relaxing on the beach and do my art at the same time. My kid also enjoy playing with the sand after he finished painting but I'm not as well. The price you pay for the canvas is already included everything. There is apron and a glass of water next to the frame and you can easily get the colours, paintbrushes, pencil, eraser, and etc. The staffs there are very friendly and they are willing to help if you need some art advice or some tips. We had a great time painting and exploring with acrylic colours. Roller Dome at Emporium My son enjoyed his rollerblades again after a year of leaving his pair of rollerblades untouched and the space in our condo is not so smooth to play it for long so my neighbor recommended Roller Dome at Emporium for us. It's a bit tricky to find the place as it's hidden away from the main shopping center. Roller Dome is situated on the 3rd floor of Emporium shopping complex. You have to follow the sign on the floor and then you will be there. It's outdoor but under the roof so no rain or sun but you can still get sweaty. I like that they already include the roller skates and equipments in the fee. My son and I go for an hour and we got very tired after 30 mins! It's a good exercise to do while you are in a shopping center. My neighbor uses teacher service and she said they are pretty good. Some might have better English than others but her kids improve their rollerblades skill a lot here.
