These talented students will have the opportunity to engage in various activities hosted by the University of Charleston throughout the year, as well as represent our area at the Regional Youth Poet Laureate competition. A big congratulations not only to Caterina and Mariam, but also to the many other students who were recognized at the award celebration held at the University of Charleston on May 11, 2024. SCHS art students were selected, as well as others in the community, to paint some ceiling tiles to hang in Women and Children’s ER. The tiles needed to be kid friendly and to help brighten up a sick or injured child’s day. Yesterday, the SC fire department came to the school to remove the top from our Dodge Challenger. This car is in the process of being taken apart so we can bring it into the school and bring the car to new life as a racing simulator in our gaming concepts class.
