So many sewing/quilting things to share: 1) I have that gene that tells me I can do anything even tho I have no idea what I’m doing, so I decided to take a quilt pattern that wasn’t meant to be “quilt as you go” and make it using that method (more on that later) and I ended up cutting into the quilt top 😩. I was just going to use fray check and interfacing and hope for the best, but I just couldn’t stand it. 2) so I decided to fix it by handsewing a new piece in. Looks pretty ok, I think. Hopefully when it’s all quilted it will just blend. 3) this is the quilt so far. I am somewhat pleased with my free motion quilting so far. The pattern is A Little Birdie Told Me by Erin Underwood who owns my LQS, @bluehenquiltshop 4) I’ve also gotten into some clothes sewing. This is the Cass Pants pattern from @fabricsstorecom. The fabric is an upcycled IKEA duvet cover I thrifted from Goodwill. 5) Using some of the remaining duvet cover, I also made a toile of the Persephone Shorts by @annaallenclothing I’m right on the edge of the sizing and just need to decide if I should increase the size for the pair when I go to the heavier material. 6) and say hello to my “new to me” serger I bought from a friend. I have been putting her through her paces on an upcoming project as well!!
