1969 Ford Torino GPT Special. Take a look at this awesome 1969 @ford #torino named “GPT Special.” It was built by Troy Trepanier and the team at Rad Rides by Troy for owner George Poteet. While George and Troy were walking around the Columbus Goodguys show a few years back, George came up with the idea for a #talladega inspired car, but with the pattern of a #mercury #cyclone that he already owned. So he sent his #cyclone to the Rad Rides team and they began some intense metalwork. So they took the car and shortened by 3 inches in the front fender, widened it by 5 inches, and had a wheelbase that was 1 inch shorter than stock. The engine is a 529 Boss FX Engine and the transmission is a Bowler 5 Speed. The Chassis is a heavily modified Art Morrison with a #corvette #c5 front suspension and a @detroitspeed 4-link in the rear. In 2013, it was used to appear in #furious7 as Dom's ride, not driving scenes were required, just for statically shots purposes inside @dodgers stadium. How about a Boss 429 for 4/29. This engine was going to find its way into my dads 57 Wagon, since he wanted a special one. He use to have a 428 in his one way back in the dad, awhile ago ended up getting word from someone at work that there was a Boss engine all in parts. After going through with the deal and contemplating putting it in the car as the plan was, deciding it was just too rare and knowing someone who had a real 69 Boss Mustang that was in need of an engine plans changed. The engine and package of Parts have been traded for an original 427 thats being built and will find it way into the wagon very soon. Our customers 2015 Ford Falcon FGX XR8 was in at the workshop recently for rear differential bushes & lower inner control arm bush replacement. We removed the rear cradle assembly, removed the factory Ford bushings & replaced them with Superpro poly units. With the car reassembled, the car drove as it should with no rear end vibration or knocking from the suspension. One happy customer 👌
