Now about ten years ago I actually used to think both of these were high security handcuffs because I assumed any number above 100 was high security. This handcuff is supposed to look similar to Smith & Wesson pink weather shield handcuff (according to online depictions), but as you can see the handcuff itself doesn’t look very similar. For one it doesn’t have the slot double locking mechanism this handcuff is push pin, another difference is the shape of the handcuff plus this handcuff is slightly larger than a Smith & Wesson but not by much. As for weight I can tell it’s about the same weight as any standard handcuff which is around 10oz. This handcuff was purchased off Amazon for around $37.00 shipping included and it did come with a handcuff case. Comparing our Bianchi vintage handcuff to an old school galls handcuff. On the surface both these handcuffs look identical even down to their bows that attach the chain link to the actual handcuffs. On the inside Bianch handcuff has three sets of teeth where the single strand meets the locking mechanism whereas galls has two sets. These two handcuffs look different from the sides as well where galls has multiple layers in the body of the handcuff whereas Bianchi has a smoother look kind of like a Peerless handcuff. Also galls handcuff has no logo stamped on it at all but it weighs as much as that Bianchi which is 9.4 ounces. Next I plan on buying a Bianchi handcuff case from handcuff warehouse but not part of the June order. Now if I had to rate this handcuff 1-100 I’d give it a rating of 88/100. Peerless 100th anniversary handcuff. (1914-2014). Posting this handcuff today because it was around this time in 2014 when I ordered it and it arrived in the mail. So it’s been nine years and the handcuff itself is still in mint condition so is the box it came in. Not a scratch or dent on the box. Peerless released 1,000 of these handcuffs in 2014 to commemorate 100 years being in business, I own number 272 out of 1,000. Next year will mark ten years since I’ve owned this handcuff and I’ll be sure to include the receipt from 2014. I know I have it in a folder somewhere. Now back to this handcuff, this handcuff basically looks like a Peerless 700 but it has special engravings on it.
