And the first parts are starting to roll in. Sent the converter out to @circledspecialties and they worked their magic with some changes and a freshen up. Also worked this weekend and got the second firewall cut out and started working on smoothing the engine bay as well as the wiring. The stock pcm will still be used but mounted under the dash and anything extra or unused has been cut out to tidy up and save weight. Finally had some good test hits on the new combo. Nothing record breaking but we set a new PB 1/8 et and MPH, and new 1/4 ET, and our best mph was matched to our previous best even with the DA being over 2500 higher than our old PB of 10.2@135 in a negative da. Huge thanks to Nigel (@smalltimesmalltire) at BST for all the help with parts, labor, the dyno time, and that differential brace that is keeping that rear end together, Nick at @briantooleyracing for the cam specs, @cammotioncams for grinding the cam. We took the car out last weekend but the tires we had on the car were shot and the best we managed was a 10.4@133 having to pedal the car. I had no intention on going this weekend but somethings changed last minute so I tossed some @hoosiertire DR2s which were a little shorter than the tires we normally run so our MPH was hurting. I didn't even bother pulling the amp or @jlaudioinc Stealth box with 10" sub for these test passes.
