Citrus Peach Sangria from @aldiusa here today πππΉ This is a fruity wine scent. I get mostly peach with some orange and boozy wine notes. It's not the strongest thrower, clocking in around a 6.5/10 but it's a pretty scent. Fresh burn of Citrus Peach Sangria from @aldiusa this evening while my boyfriend and I relax and watch Stranger Things πππΉ I've been wanting to burn this one but had to finish off some other candles first. I love sangria and there's a criminally small amount of sangria candles so I was excited for this one. It reminds me of their Peach Mimosa candle from spring 2020 but with more citrus and without the effervescence. In this candle, first and foremost I get a juicy Georgia peach note that's followed by oranges, raspberries and white wine. The fruits sweeten up the wine which is nice because sometimes wine can sometimes come off sour and bitter in wax. This is a very drinkable type scent and a fun spin on a classic sangria. Happy first day of summer! This candle smelled so good and strong on cold that I was disappointed to light it and get no throw. It took 3 burns and half of the candle to be gone before it started throwing. Scent wise it does remind me of bbw Prosecco and Peaches. Not an exact dupe, but pretty close, both give off gummy peach ring vibes. ππ§‘
I'm sorry in advance that I'm about to spam you guys with hauls from the past week or so lol but I've been so busy that between doctor's appointments, my son's birthday and father's day, I haven't had any time to post my hauls or share my thoughts about them. First up is my Aldi candle haul from last week! π I actually really love the scents from this release except BB, that one is just okay to me. Here are my cold sniff thoughts: π Strawberry Lemonade π It smells like the real thing! I get equal parts strawberry and lemonade with a lot of sugar. This is my favorite of the bunch on cold. π Citrus Peach Sangria π I agree with @pacandlelover that this is reminiscent of their Peach Mimosa candle from spring 2020, they both have the same juicy georgia peach note and some added citrus. However PM is way more effervescent and peach heavy whereas this candle is sweeter and the citrus is more present. There's a lot going on here. I detect peaches, oranges, raspberries, red and green apple slices and white wine. It smells very realistic and makes me want the real thing! I love sangria. My second favorite. π Coastal Mist & Sage πΏ This smells very close to their Sage & Mint candle from summer 2019, just a little fresher and slightly aquatic. Herbal mint and sage are the prominent notes, which is a combination I thoroughly enjoy in any season and find relaxing. I also detect a hint of lavender that smoothes out some of the sharpness from the mint. The aquatic note I smell is the same as when it's misting rain near a body of water, it's light but noticeable. This reminds me of a lighter version of Beach Sage & Mint from B&BW so if you like that candle, you'll like this. ποΈ Beach Bungalow π I'm not really a fan of beachy scents but this one is alright. Driftwood is the main note with some saltiness and a little bit of bergamot and coconut. This is how I imagine it'd smell sitting inside a real beach bungalow. My least favorite from this release.
