I love the cute looks couples give each other on their wedding day. It's a surreal feeling, having planned a wedding for sometimes over a year and now the day is HERE and it's flying by! What is the most over-used word in the world of photography and why is it authentic?ā ā Every photographer (including me!) has this on their website. In reality wedding days are a lot of things. I'm never purely a photojournalist, expect during the ceremony and parts of the reception. I often ask couples or the wedding party to move to a different area with better light, coach them a bit because having a camera on you can feel AWKWARD, or help provide movement or something to do to get variety in images. ā ā BUT. Unprompted images make my soul happy. Capturing those moments JUST after the ceremony, moments where people are completely unaware of the camera...those just hit different (as the youths say).ā ā Some of these are unprompted and some have some more direct interaction. Oh boy...I've been through probably the busiest 2 months of my life here!
