"Lexa, you can't do it," whispered Clarke with a voice that seemed barely more than a sigh, yet carried with it an infinite amount of pain. "The Council will condemn you to death for treason. Egan has betrayed both our peoples. If you accept his hand, my mother will kill you along with him. I can't lose you, Lexa. I love you. Please, you don't have to do it." Tears gathered in Lexa's eyes as she struggled with the most difficult decision of her life. She felt the weight of her role, of her responsibilities, closing in on her like an executioner ready to pronounce her sentence. But Lexa, firmly, took Clarke's hands and the blade, letting them fall to the ground. "Stop it, Clarke! It's not necessary," she said in a rough tone. "Oh no?" Clarke replied, defiantly. "Give me a good reason not to." Lexa, tense and embarrassed, couldn't respond adequately. "I'm waiting, Lexa," Clarke said impatiently. "I told you, Clarke, it's no longer necessary," Lexa replied, nervously. Clarke's continued insistent gaze made Lexa uncomfortable, rendering her unable to argue. "That's not enough for me, Lexa," Clarke said, increasing the challenge. Seeing Lexa's difficulty, Clarke tried a bold move. Grabbing Lexa's hands, Clarke pulled her forcefully near her face. "Then kiss me, Lexa," she said, her voice filled with desire. Lexa, surprised, felt her heart beating furiously. Clarke was asking for a kiss so sudden, so passionate. "I want you to kiss me," Clarke continued with a sensual voice. "Show me that you want me close. Show me that you don't want this line drawn between us." Lexa tried to retort, "Clarke, you can't blackmail me." But Clarke replied firmly, "It's not blackmail. I want you to show me that you really don't want anything to separate us."
