Over the last 3 weeks we have been observing and caring for a batch of 6 chicken eggs in our incubator. Yesterday we had the privilege of watching as one of our chicks started hatching. The children got to watch and listen as the little chick broke his way out of the egg. This morning we arrived at Kindy to find our little baby chick fully hatched!! More Colour Mixing... Today we extended on our colour mixing experiments, adding some problem solving to the experiment. We made up different combinations of food colours, adding two primary colours of food colour at a time to a jar, and covering it with baking soda. The children then took turns to add vinegar, and watched to see what colour is hiding on the bottom.
