As a photographer, I can personally say that I want you to have all of your photos! They do me no good sitting on my hard drive when they could be posted on your social media, shared with your friends, and bringing a smile to your face. 🥰 That is why I offer the option to receive all unedited images to any headshot or brand package and always include all of the best photos ( 50+/ hour) for your event. ( Don't worry though I will sort out the duplicates, closed eyes, and blurry images before sending them your way. 🤔 How do I get my photo as an event guest? The best way to make sure you get your photos from an event is to be MEMORABLE. The more interactions with the camera and the person behind it the better your chances are of getting the photos. If the photographer can recognize who you are by the end of the night they can pass your request along to the host and that significantly increases your chance of receiving those photos. Ultimately the photographer remembering you = higher chance of gaining photo access. The best way to get photos as a guest. Make it a game! Black and white is not the most popular pick for an event edit however it is definitely my favorite way to enhance emotion. Fun fact : I often use the color change to black and white to save a high emotion photo where the light wasn’t quite right. These photos for example were very hazy and honestly not very good when all the color distracted from the hugs. Saturation taken away and some contrast was added and now I feel the photos have a bigger impact in the story. If that made any sense leave me a thumbs up in the comments 😄

A wine tasting in Phoenix accompanied by the education of how the wine was made and all the intricate details of the flavoring. I love capturing the moments of people engaging in and partaking of the knowledge of a truly passionate teacher. 🍷 This room proved a challenge to photograph in. It was extremely dark and had mirrors running above the entirety of the booth seating. It took some creative effort to not appear in any of the photos and avoid flash reflections.
A simple wide shot can set the stage for marketing your event. Take a look at your photo files from last year and find one that is close to one of the two featured in this post. Then, use these tips to set the stage for your marketing: * Have people in the photo that represent your target audience placed in the photo casually. ( Think people interested in date night / family fun as your targeted audience for these photos.) * Have your signage placed in the image somewhere, but not in an obvious way. ( Banner hanging in the background/ above heads for these shots.) * Leave black space to place any text with more information. ( Image 1 =Right side text placement. Image 2 = between sign & people) * Think of a crafty caption/ a way to catch audience attention. ( Include a call to action " A fun date night out ... Meet your community and enjoy wholesome family fun...) After identifying those details it's time to post your images or use them in your news blasts, PR submisions, magazines, flyers and more for next year's event marketing.

Should you have a Photo Booth and a roaming photographer at your next event? 🤷⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Do you really need both? How much will it make a difference if you have one but not the other? From a professional perspective, have both. Why? Because a Photo Booth gives people the excuse to have their photo taken in a fun and interactive way. Plus they get the immediate gratification of getting the photo right away. Also, having the roaming photographer will give guests the special feeling of being invited to have their photo taken for a special reason, plus a roaming photographer is going to capture those unposed moments that make your event special. Candid moments will tell a story about the overall attendee experience and atmosphere of the event which is vital to promoting the event for the future. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ If you must choose one over the other, getting the roaming photographer is the best bet. Talk to your professional photographer and let them know that you want the posed shots of people looking at the camera and smiling as well. Usually they will already be planning to get those shots. If you want the photos rushed to a one day/ same day turn-around chances are they will have an option you can discuss to make that happen.
