Kiibo redesign because why the hell not :D So a while back I was thinking about what I would do with my Idabashi if he ever became an important character in canon. I decided I would just turn him into an OC because he already kinda is one (/hj) but then I thought "oh what about Kiibo?" One thing led to another and then I decided to give him a redesign totally not inspired by Murder Drones :) I like to think his headphones ears can actually play music only he can hear by either using his phone or MP3s in his storage, and he uses his roller skates I probably drew wrong to travel longer distance. Also his face can become random symbols too (maybe he makes the >:3 face on occasion lmao). Other than that, he's still Kiibo. Celestia Ludenberg Redesign 🃏♥️♣️♠️ It's happening guys it's actually happening. I am SO excited to share this series with you because character design is super important to me and I want you to know I spend a lot of thought, time and heart into every redesign I make. We're starting with Celestia Ludenberg, The Ultimate Gambler. Why? Because I have my own order and I said so. Celestia was probably one of the easier characters to redesign since it is very easy to figure out what her style is, what she would and would not wear. She makes it very clear who she wants to be. Celestia is a lair. She lies about her life, where she's from, her home. She lies to people around her to get what she wants. Celestia is a manipulator and she is ready to do anything to get what she wants. Celestia was ready to get everyone killed to get money that would help her live her luxury dream life which says a lot about her as a person. Which brings her to her design, I wanted Celestia to look like everything she wants to be. She is elegant, she is fancy, she is a lot. She is extra, she wants to be noticed. When she walks into a room, she wants you to turn her head, she wants you to think she's special and different from everyone else. So, that's a very cool thing about designing Celestia, you can go all out and experiment with all types things. I imagine Celestia would spend hours getting ready in the morning, just so she can make her looks fit the imaginary life she created. I think Celestia would probably be secretly insecure about her looks and about who she really is. I planned Celestia's body type, I gave her bigger hips with stretch marks. I made Celestia a genderfluid transmasc. So, I've kinda had the idea for a while to do a Danganronpa "reboot" concept, just for fun and stuff. I come from a perspective of having more experience in writing novels, short stories, and comics, so that's more of the angle I'm coming from here. With that aside, here's Sayaka! The danganronpa team really did her dirty if we're all being honest. She has the potential to really shine as a character. If I were to rewrite her, I'd put more of an emphasis on her personality in general. Since she's such a popular idol, she has a crafted image. To compliment her as a leader of her idol group, she has an adult-like persona, but she also must maintain an air of innocence. She always places pressure on herself to keep up this image, becuase she has constant anxiety that if she doesn't, she'll fail. Since all of her favorite idols that brought her so much hope were able to, she has to as well so that she can bring the same joy to everyone else. At her core, though, she cares more about others than her own well-being. She works herself to passing out often, and doesn't often take care of herself. During the events of the game, when she sees the idol group she worked so hard to support in danger, it drives her to desperate measures. Her core philosophy, after all, is that sacrifices must be made for the greater good. Her caring, empathetic, and emotional nature compliments Naegi's inquisitiveness and adds feeling to the reader's perspective, her perfect partner persona falls apart as she takes on the responsibility of saving her friends and everyone in the school. Under so much pressure, one eventually breaks, however, and Sayaka meets her untimely end as her plan is turned against her by Leon. During the trial, I think it would be interesting if Leon argued with Monokuma about how unfair the scenerio is-- neither he nor Sayaka knew about the punishment aspect. I think that would be an interesting parallel to (SPOILERS FOR V3) how blatantly misleading, unfair, and hopeless Chapter 3-1 was. #danganronpa #danganronpafanart #redesign #danganronparedesign #artist
