Here’s our first 4 picks from rounds 1-3. What grade would you give the Cowboys so far? I will say that it has definitely been an interesting draft. Interesting in a positive way. We’ve filled some positions with some really high-motor prospects. Dallas doesn’t pick again until No. 174. That’s a whole 74 picks until we get to the podium. If the Cowboys are looking to draft a running back, more specifically with the likes of Braelon Allen or Audric Estime, it’s likely going to take a trade up. The Cowboys have had a great draft so far. Finish it off strong and try to snag a RB by trading back up. Initially I had a couple of head scratches at some of the picks but these guys have great tape and all have one thing in common: The eagerness to do whatever it will take to prove themselves. Whether it be Guyton going from RT to LT, the athleticism and physicality from Kneeland, the versatility Beebe offers, and the explosive drive Liufau shows, these guys run on a high-motor. My grade: B

I tried to be as realistic as possible and came away with this. Some of it isn’t necessarily flashy, but these are the gritty guys we need. Troy Fautamu provides flexibility at guard and tackle. We can pair that with Tyler Smith and see which combination works best. It’s a safe pick and provides a security blanket if he struggles at either position. I think Brooks is an obvious choice in the second if he’s still there. Burton would be a nice WR3/4 to rotate with Tolbert to take some pressure off of him. Gabe Hill brings depth and size to the interior while Matt Lee can be worked on as a project pick and become another Brock Hoffman. Dallas is great at developing their lineman. Luke Reimer and Gabriel Murphy are typical late round depth picks but who knows, maybe they can develop into something else. That’s all I got. Thoughts?
