The Education leadership retreat organised by Education World and BSAI at the Pinegrove school in Solan was a delight for me to partially attend as I connected with my old friends and made a lot of new ones. Dr Sumer singh and Dr Ameeta Wattal as usual were a delight to hear and of course could not hear but had the great fortune of meeting Dr Prajapati Trivedi former secretary to the Government of India and his very distinguished wife Mira and Mr Sandeep kumar Former Indian Ambassador to Ireland. It was an absolute delight to connect with each one of them. I have to mention that Pinegrove is an amazing school which my friend Capt. AJ Singh and his family have built with love and nurture everyday with care. Sunbeam school varuna had its Student’s Council investiture ceremony and a brilliant and able student leaders’ body was sworn in and took up responsibility for the session 2024-25. The ceremony was wonderfully organised with the long service recognition awards also being handed over to the Admin, teaching staff and support staff who were recognised for their valuable contribution to sunbeam over 10 or 20 long years. What a moment it was to meet the ace mountaineer Nims Purja in Kathmandu. It was a short meeting but when he told us “we all have our own mountains to climb” it was a very powerful thought.
