There's No Escape... Or is there, buddy? 😉 As many of you know, this ride is incredibly difficult to get clean shots of. Since you're almost always in motion and there's lots of show lighting, you need a fast lens and decently fast shutter speed. I was happy this one of the pivotal moment of the ride came out pretty sharp. I love this ride, and I'm not even a very big Star Wars fan. Friendship This is one of my favorite segments of Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom. The energy and visuals are just off the charts - especially at the end with "Friend Like Me." It's almost an assault on the senses, as there's so much going on, but it's totally worth it. I've wanted this shot for YEARS, but it just never happened before this last trip. Our first few visits to AK were when it wasn't open at night. The one time I was there at night, we were focused on Pandora. But finally this past February, my wife and I stopped at Flame Tree for dinner and got a table down by the water. And that's that! On my most recent trip to WDW, I got to see Luminous for the first time. My wife and I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing it again later this year. I also FINALLY came home with some Epcot fireworks shots that I actually like. I've made many attempts over the years, but just never got anything I thought was worthy of sharing. A Garage In California I know Disney says this isn't Woz or Jobs, but being a Mac guy I've always loved the idea of this scene representing the Jobs garage in California. I shoot this scene every time I ride Spaceship Earth with my camera, but this most recent time is, by far, the best shot I've ever gotten. Modern camera sensors combined with Lightroom's new(ish) Enhance Denoise feature (🤯) make this version the cleanest one I have in my collection. Being a photographer in Disney is definitely difficult sometimes. You lug around a 35 pound backpack that has a tripod sticking out the top that, for some reason, always comes loose on space mountain and hits you in the eye as you wear the backpack backward. Only to post up an hour or more before fireworks to claim your spot and put 5,000 dollars worth of camera equipment on a unsecured tripod so a guy who just showed up 5 minutes beforehand can throw his kid in their shoulders and block your entire shot. But then the fireworks start and the struggle becomes serene, and with a remote in one hand and my wife's hand in the other, I find happiness and hopefully take a decent photo. But moments like that make it all worth it. #memorycaptured @wwdparks #wwdparks
