Oshidori is marvellous. I'm in love with this girl, but also kind of in awe of her. She's so tall and big and beautiful 😍 I raided the doll wardrobe again and put together another outfit for her, to my surprise. Most surprising were the shoes from LUTS. Oshidori is Joydoll Lai by @joydolljoy, on 2DDoll 68girl. She's complete! Eyes are 14/6mm by VanillaAnn. Wig is a temporary one from LUTS - her actual wig is still on order and is blonde in colour. But ... I think I like her in grey hair ... I'm delighted with Oshidori. I'm not hugely interested female BJDs, and not interested at all in curvy ones, but I haven't seen anything like 2D68 before and I find it incredibly attractive. This pair poses elegantly (just like the rest of his body), and is more attractive than the vast majority of jointed hands out there. I'm glad I got them for Gael. I seem to have ended up with brothers. I didn't clue in to the resemblance for a long time, until I got Gael's head home, shared box opening pics, and someone observed that he kinda looked like Vallant. Amongst other things, they have identical eye shape. I discovered these two sculpts at around the same time. The promo and owner pics inspired very different characters in my head, so I didn't notice the resemblance. But I must've clearly been looking for a certain face, because I found it from two dollmakers in separate countries. I don't think Gael and Vallant are brothers, but they look really companionable together. Gael wears a roomy 7-8" Switch wig and 17/7mm waterprism glass eyes. (Thank you @esu.ko for selling me these eyes! I bought them for Gael so long ago, and I can use them at last.) His faceup is by me. I find Gael's face interesting to look at. When I first saw his promo pics I thought he had a rounded cheeks and a full face... In actuality, the angles on his cheeks and face are quite defined, and any "fullness" comes from a square-ish jaw. At least I think that's what it is? His expression also seems to shift with lighting and viewing angle. Some of my other dolls have this quality - Justinian and Syr come to mind.
