Finally feel like I’m starting to get the heck of this dreads business… Landed up taking out a whole wad in the front around my face and it made a huge difference. Much less pulling, much less weight and a lot softer looking. Decided to test out some red toning toner on one of them I took out for my roots and wow… so glad I tested it on a removed piece as it went bright, bright green… I would have looked like I was hiding a leprechaun in my hair if I hadn’t tested first. 🍀👀 Enjoying this bun though immensely. Finally figured out why people with dreads use hair ties (lengths of fabric or the likes) to get their hair up… any other way is literally impossible. Elastics are a joke. Cannot get over how heavy they are, has done wonders for my neck muscles. Will do a pic soon of them down and post. Oh, and satin pillowcases are a dream, not only for not fluffing dreads up but for your skin too I hear. Minimises wrinkling. #dreadlocks #dreads #dreadstyles #dreadbun #locs #dreadbangs
