Free concert for fans My girlfriend told me that she saw a post from @dubfx11 which was interesting. Dub fx organised a free concert at @akvariumklub because his concert is sold out, so basically he held 2 concerts with a bit of rest between. I’ve never heard or seen anything like this. The music he plays is great and I like it but what I like even more is the gesture. Not a lot of musician does this, but he did. At the end he offered to his fans free hug and photo opportunity which is insane. I am so proud that I had a day off and I could go and see and document this event with my two eyes and my camera. If more people would have this kindness and would be willing to share it, this whole planet could have been a better place. Reposted from @dubfx11 I first started looping at the end of 2005 when I was 23. I then started street performing in Europe and Australia in 2006. by 2007 I had a good idea of what my sound was all about and I was making great money selling loads of CDs. I remember doing the math and realising that if I kept at it, within the next 4 years I would have sold roughly 40,000 CDs which in turn would translate into a pretty decent following. I figured that this was my career and the slow and steady road of street performing would pay my way for the rest of my life. in 2008 however, I met a very special filmmaker by the name of Ben Dowden. BD filmed me busking in the streets of Bristol, put it on youtube, and BOOM! the video went viral. we have a screenshot where this video was the most liked video on youtube! how crazy is that! All of a sudden I started getting booked at festivals and club shows all over the world. it totally changed my life! Although I cringe when I hear the audio of this video, I'm super grateful for what it did for my career.
