I posted a table with Electric car calculations just over a year ago on my Facebook group, and someone just asked on a post how it's going, I feel it deserves its own post. 1️⃣ We have now had our electric car for a year and as promised here is my summary. 2️⃣ We had to replace a wheel hub for 1450 NIS. (High!!! unexpected, but we were warned about the price of these things) We had no other upkeep expenses. 3️⃣ Electricity - we didn't feel our bill was more than maybe the 100 NIS we planned for but we have a different number of people at home, the solar panels might have produced more or less (need to check) so it's difficult to know how that impacted us. 4️⃣ License fee- we need to pay the new annual license fee which is only 537 NIS (7 NIS more than expected) 5️⃣ Range anxiety - I expect this to be an issue. It's not been, probably because I make sure to charge. The only times we needed to recharge outside of our home were when we went to Eilat and when we went to the Golan, both times with a super-fast charger and were planned. So far it's working well for us. 💥 And the strangest thing is it seems like we could sell the car today for what we bought it for or more, there is no depreciation due to prices increasing.
