Heathcote Test and Tune - A90 supra After waiting for Covid restrictions to lift and the borders to finally open, to be able to travel interstate to lay down a few shakedown passes, simply just to get some data in its normal form. The date was originally set to go end of January. Unfortunately Heathcote Raceway was getting upgrades with the new walls at that time so we had to cancel. A last minute decision to load up and head off for the test & tune held after the Mopar National was made. Car setup was nothing more than turbo, pump 98, exhaust, air intake, water methanol and dyno tuning, no upgraded suspension or race tyres. Whilst the car does have Nitrous Oxide unfortunately without driveshafts and tyres the decision was to leave the Nos disabled. In total I managed to get 6 passes, data logging each pass. The water methanol did its job keeping the IAT’s cool, however the tyres wouldn’t hold the power until past the 60ft. Best time for the day was [email protected] Attached is the time slip. Very happy with the results so far and we can’t wait to head back again to test with driveshafts, drag slicks and be able to activate the Nitrous. Just prior to her first pass the heart rate was up, the nerves had kicked in and it showed, forgot to change gears, short shifting @ 4000 rpm 2nd pass what a difference, the nerves had dropped off and her gear changes were a lot better. 3rd pass, start was great, gear changes were great, I decided to give stage 1 on nos a quick press.
