I recently got a new bottle of Essie 'blanc' and I wanted to compare it for you to the old bottle I got in 2015. I did three coats for both. The new bottle is more stark white compared to the old one and it has a smooth formula. The old one is a bit streaky, it had a bit of a difficult formula to begin with and the brush is thin as in the old Essie nail polishes. In addition, the new formula is not as opaque, it’s a bit more sheer but it builds up nicely. You can get away with two coats in both cases.
