In celebration of his 25th anniversary in the industry, #FurneOne returned to Cebu with a homecoming show featuring his 50-piece collection: Immaculate Machinations. Produced by his dear friend #CarySantiago in partnership with Waterfront Hotel and DiaGold, the collection was an odyssey of couture and craftsmanship. The designer dug deep into his archives to create a retrospective feel as he incorporated pieces from past collaborations. "You might recognize some from music videos, and others worn by celebrities such as #Beyoncé or #KatyPerry during award shows," he said. He also revisited his earlier designs of fully beaded geometric panels, jagged edges on soft, sheer bases, and sculptural bodices inspired from cultural artifacts. The show continued with a white gothic preposition of soft tulle dresses—both slim and sculptural—topped with crowns, and ended with a frothy ruffled cape donned by #MarinaBenipayo. Among those in attendance at the show was Vogue Philippines fashion director #PamQuiñones who gravitated towards one of the pieces with intricate embellishments crafted to mimic feathers—a look that highlights Furne One Amato's couture sensibilities.
