Fun fact, I used to teach seventh grade science! I was also fortunate enough to teach while we lived overseas in Italy. I met @sdelussey my first or second year teaching (let’s be honest, that was a long time ago, and I have three kids that keep my brain all crazy!), she was the special education teacher for the tiger team at Warren County middle school! I believe this was before most people knew her @mrsdscorner !! We have always kept in touch, and when her mom came to see me at a vendor event last year, she went home and told Stephanie about this amazing photographer that she had met that she wanted her to me! I think Stephanie had seen my posts about going to that vendor event and asked her mom what my name was, and then she said, mom, I know her! We used to teach together! Stephanie sent me a p.m. and we started laughing and it was so nice to meet up with her again I am so happy that we are living in the same area, and I can document this amazing time in her and her husband’s lives! Parents, I know a huge fear of yours when booking a newborn session is “are they going to sleep?” The answer to that is, honestly sometimes they don’t!! Baby R wasn’t so sure about closing his eyes with me yesterday and that’s OK!! Parents don’t stress about this! Awake images are just as adorable as sleeping ones and if you’ve hired the right photographer, they will know exactly what to do! Yesterday he was incredibly calm, and I was able to pose him a little bit while he was awake, hence getting these great images that I hope his parents bring back when he graduates high school college, and gets married! once this big guy did fall asleep, he was out cold, and we accomplished 70% of his session in about 20 minutes! Patience is key, no reason to get flustered or worried, babies will absolutely sleep!
