GOD INVADES THE ORDINARY They watched Him do dramatic, breathtaking miracles, but life still presented mundane tasks—the common, ordinary, routine, uneventful. Who knew that mundane tasks could reveal Abba’s delight in being God of the ordinary? Well, it happened: “that day, 5,000 men ate their fill of the bread when Jesus fed the hungry crowd” (Mk. 6:44). The disciples only saw the obvious: people were hungry and needed to go find some food. But Jesus never was distracted by the ordinary (or the disciples’ annoyance) as He asked why THEY didn’t just feed them. He saw the opportunity to turn a routine problem (fixing lunch!) into an opportunity to partner with Him, taking them from observers to participants in revealing God’s love for this world even in the mundane. So, they were thrust into a hands-on experience of co-laboring with God: organizing people, passing out food, collecting leftovers, watching people feast. The overwhelming, mundane need became the place of God’s intervention. The untheatrical regularity of the ordinary was now holy ground, the place where God delighted to show up. While they saw a hungry crowd, Jesus saw a bigger reality—an opportunity to reveal Who God is in daily, practical concerns of life. Dramatic or ordinary, all of life was vulnerable to His powerful love. The terrifying task became a place for His supernatural power to move through them. Wow. God could and would show up in every place of need. Through THEM. Suddenly even “ordinary” became a place of worship, resonating with possibilities for transformation—the repetitive and familiar became a place for renewal, lifeless activity a display for the essential Bread of Life, the very stuff of ecstasy. “Jesus said, ‘You’re tied down to the mundane; I’m in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I’m living on other terms. I told you that you were missing God in all this. You’re at a dead end. If you won’t believe I am who I say I am, you’re at the dead end of sins. You’re missing God in your lives’” (Jn. 8:23-24, MSG). Today, don’t miss God, even in the ordinary.

For #TheLatterHouseDoesGreater the Word released in faith from the purified hearts and lips of GODly will cause circumstances to shift; situations to acquit and submit. #TheSaintsAreCommissioned, given #SupernaturalAbilities to #TreadUponSerpents and scorpions-- that's defeating the works of satanic and dark principalities. #NoExcuse you've been given #EverythingYouNeed-- why are you running around like a silly goose! Meat-eating and mature; free yourselves from #TheDevilsNoose, you have the #PowerToBindAndLoose! This applies to ourselves and our divine assignments; others on our agenda to attend to their needs and minister.
