Was the early part of the season, I roamed through the many empty seats on a cold April day game to get a different perspective to shoot the Tiger game. I liked using the spectator seats, although a rare availability, they had a bar coming above the concrete wall on the front row to clamp a couple remotes. Early in the game a foul ball wizzes by me, I’m at third base, it was close. With all the empty seats I figured it was headed to nowhere, no such luck. Several sections away the ball must have had this young boy’s name on it, hitting him in the face. He was immediately looked after by the team doctor and brought inside for observation. Colby ran across the bleachers and a foul ball came right up and over the fence and came down hard on his shoulder! 😣 He has the thread marks from the ball on his shoulder! I told him his choice of wearing all camouflage today worked too well and the ball couldn't see him!🤣 he was not amused! Today I went back to the doctor for a follow up on my fractured wrist and I got the ok to go back to work without restrictions and he said that it maybe bruised and swollen for a little while longer but it’s otherwise good to go. I have to go back to see him in four weeks to make sure it’s still ok. If in four weeks it’s still sore he may do an MRI to check it.
