Have you ever had a dream come true? Like something you were so desperate and longing for but also something you truly believed was out of your reach? I had the most fulfilling and wonderful experience from living an actual life long dream of mine this weekend 🩵 I never believed this could have happened for me, but it did and even better it happened whilst representing a kapa for my rohe that I whakapapa to. It has only been down to the magic of my tūpuna who planned this all for me. The intentional, careful, perfect sequence of events that lead me to be here has been because of them. I did this also to establish the tikanga within our whānau to grow the love of kapa haka in my children, for them to live as proud Māori who sing about their moana and recite laments of pūrākau to preserve our whakapapa.
