The @gearwrenchtools Bolt Biters save the day. This bolt was messed up when my crank shaft pulley broke. . The little cut on it would let me put a socket over it to loosen the bolt. The Bolt Biters grabbed right on and I was able to get the bolt out and removey oil pump. . Time for some new parts! . Really liking my new @morrflate Stubby Quad. I like the face that you can remove the hoses. It makes rolling them up much easier. . It also give me the option to get different hose length for different vehicle like Clifford, or maybe a trailer extension 😁 . With the combo of the MF 10.6 compressor it makes airing up a breeze, and once the new psi pros come in it will be even easier.

Operation fix #bobcattruck steering has started. The problem is my pitman are was colliding with my tie rod when the truck was compressed on the driver side. . I removed the steering box, hydro assist, and then I grinded off the frame support on the outside. . I was hoping that I wasn't going to have to remove the radiator and lower hose. But to get the access required to grind off the inner frame support I think they will need to be removed. . The plan is to rotate the power steering box and replace the frame support with the version for the rotated box. This will move the pitman arm up closer to the frame, a few inches forward and out of the way. . #diytruckrepair #rotatepowersteering #famesupport

A little afternoon project. How I have a massive portable vice so I can do fab work outside the shop and try not to make a massive mess inside... Just in time for winter. . The tube will fit into a recirver so I can use it on the back side of the trucks I have laying around. . I decided to use this massive one over my smaller one because this one has a fixture for round tube. Extended my steering shaft so that the steering doesn't slide off the Power Steering Box while I'm driving. . I cut the shaft in half and got a piece of tubing from @hustlenutz that perfectly fit the cut shaft. . I extended the shaft 2.5" and everying fit perfectly and after my last trip my steering didn't come apart, yahoo

Back together and working great, thanks for everyones feedback, and suggestions on what might have been wrong. . The culprit was a misaligned bearing in the adapter plate. I must have not completely seated it the first time that I put it in. . After pulling the bearing out I noticed that there was some aluminum flakes underneath it that could have possibly been another reason that it was misaligned. . After removing the flakes and pressing the bearing back into place everything lined up perfectly and is working great. . Install tomorrow and hopefully wheeling the day after.

I have had the chance to check out many tool bags and I'm happy to say that I really likey @adventuretoolcompany bag. . This bag is simple and holds a ton of tools, it's also very stout and can carry a lot of weight as well. . I have been using ATC for a few years now as I've had one of their accessory bags and it pairs well with the main tool bag. . It keeps the tools in place while bouncing around on the trail and it's well organized. . I had to pull the bag out while @4x4toyotatyler was broken down in Moab all while I pulled my Leaf Spring to help get him out of the trail. . Thanks ATC for making a killer set up!!!
Finally had a reason to use these @gearwrenchtools Bolt Biters screw extractor... And they worked awesome!!! . My buddy @vanofmydreams came over with their brake caliper bleeder bolt ripped off. I thing that it would be a good excuse to try out my new Gearwrench Kit. . The kit comes with the exact size drill bit for the extractors, we decided to use the smallest one and maybe if needed work our way to larger sizes. . Drilling the bleeder bolt was easy as the metal is soft and these new drill bits are super soft. Then I took the extractor and tapped it into the voided. . These extractors are made for 1/4" drive impacts so I attached it to my @makitatools and pulled the trigger. Little bit of a struggle but than all of a sudden it broke loose and we slapped in the new bleeder. . I have to say I'm very impressed with how well these Bolt Biters worked, and how easy it made the job. . These are definitely going to be a part of my trail tool kit!
This year's @cruise_moab was a massive success! We had an absolute blast. . His some new trails this year but unfortunately we didn't get to do pritchett canyon. . Upgraded the driver seat for Cruise Moab. The old seat was falling apart with Rips and wouldn't recline anymore. . These new WRX seats also have much larger sides to help me stay in the seat when I'm bouncing around. . It was a bit of a pain to mount them up. Ripping off the old feet of both the Toyota and Subaru seats and mixing them up to make it work in my truck. . Thanks for @hustlenutz for coming over and working through the process with me

It was on fire 🔥 I was lucky enough to be able to simply blow the fire out. . I was just driving down the freeway and the my truck was struggling to maintain speed. I downshifted into 4th and when I did bobcat pulled hard to the right and really slowed down. . I was maybe 200 yds away from my exit and knew I wasn't going to make it. I found a good place to pull over and that's when I found the fire. . I sat on the side of the freeway for some time letting it cool down, and out of nowhere I heard a metallic pop. Then I know that it loosened up. . I jumped back in the truck and drove home with out tapping the brakes. . Guess I have some brake work and maybe some internals as well. . I finally got the @roguefab bender working. I needed to bleed the hydraulic ram and then everything was working fine. . I'm excited to start using this bender on some future projects. But I can tell there is going to be a learning curve. . Good thing Rogue Fab has some great videos explaining how everything works. #4wdsamantha rear axle video is being released today at 4:30 pst. . In this episode I am making massive improvements to the axle housing. In order to do this I have to completely remove all the stock brackets and clean the axle up.. . From there I'm adding a bash plate to the bottom of the housing and a truss to the top to help prevent it from bending. . . Finally got the table finished. This is mainly a work surface for @snailarmor products but it's a nice new addition to the shop. . I watched one of @hackshop_garage videos and they talked about how important it is to have everything on casters. The benefit is that you can rearrange your shop really easily and if you need to make room you can just wheel things out of the way. . This is going to work great for me because when I need to use this table I can wheel it out into an open area and then when I'm done I can put it away and make space for a vehicle. . They also discussed making all the counters the same exact height so if you have a long project you can extend it from table to table. This was a really smart idea for me even though I have a long counter in the back I thought it just should be wise to make all the counters match. .
