And today I was officially back to work. I may have been staring part time but I’m back. And this lovely lady has been waiting 6 weeks for her rebalance. I love our catch ups talking about how doctors have changed and pharmacy. Thinking back to when I was young. I’ve really missed this! So with no repairs just a massive length down and filling with some amazing poly gel. What is poly gel? Polygel is a revolutionary hybrid nail enhancement product that combines the flexibility of gel and the strength of acrylic. It's a putty-like substance that's applied like acrylic but doesn't harden until cured under an LED lamp. Polygel is known for its lightweight feel, durability, and ease of application, making it a popular choice for nail extensions and overlays. This client came to me from a chop shop so I couldn’t remove the MMA acrylic it’s a pain and will cause fumes that are harmful. Her skin was starting a reaction and the nails were going into coming away from the nail bed. With fingers crossed and some strict after care they have bounced back and ever since they have got healthier and healthier. Not bad for a trial lol. Seems I still have it. Had to bring little man it so took me ages lol and we did have 6 weeks growth. But only two loses that’s epic. These are polygel overlys if you don’t know what that is it’s gel/acrylic. Since I no longer do acrylic due to the smell 👃 and I just wasn’t loving the product anymore. So last year I tested polygel which is much nicer for me and clients. But with a little length and some tender love they will be back to perfection again. Remember it’s not just about a visit to your nail tech it’s about home care to help the nails last. A weak nail plate can’t hold a solid form. It’s like building a house of weak foundations. So cuticle oil daily and wearing gloves while washing up and cleaning as nails expand and go soft when wet. Happy national Lash Day. I’m definitely drawn to lashes lately. Especially with the more natural lash look in at the moment. So not quite Halloween but my amazing nail model is now a hair model so we had to work with the request for ginger/ copper nails and we love these! We’ll I’m still at it lol struggling to post. I feel my social media anxiety has got the better of me. I’m this trade social media is super important which heightens my anxiety of getting it right. I know I may not show it but I definitely suffer with it on social media the most. Worrying what people will think and say about my work and if I’m good enough. I’m telling you this to show most businesses owners don’t find it easy. I’ve had a lot of training and still training but it overwhelms me and I shut down. It’s only because I love my job so much that I post to help my business. Keeping up with trends and where to post and when and what to post and now stories and reels it’s endless 🤪 Today is my day off and I’m pushing myself to press the post button instead of cancel. Remembering I’m only human. A mum working her own business the best I can. So it’s even more valuable to me when someone likes, shares and comments on a post. It means you noticed my work.
