Didn’t really intend to go this year but dragged myself to Dubshed with the car.
Bigger rear brakes are on the to do list at some stage this year.
Front tints and paint enhancement done ☑️ No joy with getting the sunstrip done unfortunately despite having it done previously by the same place, they weren’t willing to take the rear view mirror off. May need to revisit that again at a later date.
Few tidy up jobs on the horizon for this but it still does scrub up well ✨
Into the night 🌙
Little side project over the past couple of evenings. Full array of @creationsmotorsport shifter related items installed onto the Touran. Solid shifter bushings to replace the 12 year old originals as well as a metal side to side actuator to replace the plastic original item. Even from a quick test drive, the difference in feel through the gears is night and day. Would highly recommend this for any MK5/6 platform owner!
First proper wash for this since the 20s went on 🧽 Few little things need attended to but overall, still very happy with it.

Takes the 20s 🛞 Been very quiet on here. January felt like it was never going to end and was pretty bleak. Started into this month by giving the car a service and then discovered that all 4 tyres were in need of replacement so used the opportunity to change it up with these Q7 wheels which fit really well. Does need a bit of clearancing to sort some slight rubbing under compression but very happy. Does this mean I get to use #only20scount now @mplusr1?
One year of the (blue) Touran 🎉🎉🎉 Honestly, after two consecutive years of cars letting me down, I was really not in a great place. Having looming issues stack up just took it’s toll so to have made it a year and not have to resort to stripping a car down to its shell in the middle of winter may seem like a minor thing, but it’s a massive relief to me. Some great memories already tied to this car and it’s went a long way to me actually enjoy driving etc again even if it’s just a minivan to most people. So yeah, thanks you big box on wheels and here’s to even more adventures 💙
It’s been quite a while since the Touran has been so clean. Going to enjoy it while it lasts (which will probably be at most a day 🥹)

Productive evening spent on this addressing the disintegrating front speakers. Just swapped in some OE replacements with some sound deadening to help them out a bit. Next up will be some MOT prep I reckon. Fingers crossed it won’t need too much 🤞
Parked up at Titanic Dubs 🚢 Few small changes made to this including cherry rear lights (thanks @stephen_hyde_135 for sorting them), tinted reflectors (thanks to @sticker.pig) and smoked third brake light.
Night spent tinkering on these two 🌙 You wouldn’t know that the Touran was clean yesterday 🙄 will need to give it another once over before Titanic Dubs on Saturday.
With Deutsche Collective understandably being cancelled over the weekend, the goal is to hopefully get this thing to Titanic Dubs in less than a couple of weeks time. Handily enough, the extra time does allow me to try and sort a couple more minor things before then so that’s handy at least.

New addition to the car this evening in the form of some rear spats. Unfortunately there’s virtually nothing out there for Tourans but I was able to pick up a set of these universal rear spats from @eliteautostylingni and modified them to suit. I think they work well with the front splitter and side skirts. Next up is Deutsche Collective on Saturday 🤩
Few jobs attended to on the Touran over the past few days. Painted the brake calipers in Acid Green which pops really nice against the Dark Blue. Thank you to @sticker.pig for the new R decals for the front brakes. Also colour coded the baseplate of the rear badge to body colour and fit up a bumper protector to help protect from even more scratches 😅 Still need to sort my plan for tinting the rear lights/reflectors too.
Really enjoying this late burst of good weather 🌅 Going to take into a few minor jobs over the next wee while to tidy this up some more.

Fair to say progress has slowed somewhat on this as I’ve really just been content with it. I was tempted to change the wheels for something else but frankly, I don’t think there’s much in my budget that could beat the Q3s. This evening I did get to fit some new bits. I had sold the RDX sideskirts which I had fitted to my old Tourans whenever I split the black car and it seems that trying to get a hold of another set would have either meant mad shipping fees or a major wait. Happily, @triplercomposites do some sideskirts for SWB Caddys which also work on Tourans. They compliment the KSB splitter nicely so I’m really happy with them. Next job is probably going to be tidying up the brake calipers with any luck.

Fairly busy day on this. Two new tyres (who knew 225/35/19s would be so tricky to source 😅), new handbrake cables after one snapped on me earlier in the week and naturally, only I could manage to catch the splitter after trimming it for clearance 🙄 Service and some other maintenance next 🔧
