Most people believe that Walt Disney World is a fast paced vacation. Rush from one ride to the next on a super planned out schedule the whole time. It can be that, for sure. I can make a plan based on wait times, ride popularity, etc. But…see this spot. It is one of my favorite spots in Magic Kingdom. It is tucked away in an alley just as you enter Main Street. . We have been sitting in this area enjoying a coffee, pastry, breakfast sandwich for 22 years. Granted we may not go there every visit but, I know it is there and I love that not much has changed about it. ❤️ . This trip was not a fast paced one. We went with the mindset of enjoying family, enjoying the atmosphere, and making memories. We arrived at Magic Kingdom during the extra morning hours for resort guests, handled some business at Guest Services, got breakfast at Starbucks, and settled into our favorite nook. We watched the crowds rush by and enjoyed each other’s company as we planned out our first moves. In honor of the storms that didn’t really happen last night… . You can still have a great time at Walt Disney World, even if it is raining. We waited out a lunchtime storm in our room and then headed back out for an adventure. . We donned our ponchos and caught the bus to Magic Kingdom. The adventure started with a bit of wildlife interaction, a mouse and a family of ducks. We braved the wild and made it to our castle. Coincidentally, we were seated in the west wing where a storm goes on every night. After dinner, we defeated the evil Emperor Zurg twice. (I know we are Buzz Lightyear fanatics. It is one of Clarissa’s favorites.) At the end of the night, we were able to ditch the ponchos for a nice family shot. . Yesterday was a good day! We got up early for rope drop and were able to meander our way through Main Street and get some breakfast. With a little one, the rush to the big thrill rides is not what we do anymore. That will come back when she is bigger but right now we live in the small (they don’t feel small) magical moments. 🧚🏻 ❤️ . Tomorrowland and Fantasyland is where we camped out yesterday. 🚀 🎠 A little bit of People Mover, teacups, a parade and, shopping for princess gowns then…a break. I love the mid day breaks. . Indulge me on some long-winded Monday night musings. I have been a bit absent on this page for a while now but we have been dealing with some heavy personal and family issues. All of that will plunge you into some deep retrospection. . We love to travel. We love to travel with our families and friends. This does require budgeting and saving, especially now. I use gas apps, cash back apps, and sell some handmade crochet items to help us save. It can tough to give up things for these trips but, I’ll NEVER regret it. Recently, we have seen close up that the people we love aren’t getting younger and won’t be around forever. This makes these trips with loved ones even more special. Again I say, I will NEVER regret prioritizing time away where we get to experience new things with the people we love. . This is also why I love helping others have these moments. Trips with your best friends, your significant other, and extended family are special. I do not take it for granted that you have placed these moments in my hands.
