Yesterday’s Day 45 2024 dinner: @manmanunagi.keongsaik unagi hitsumabushi ($35 before 10% service charge and 9% GST). . Suggested here for dinner as this is one of the few places which does not have a Valentine’s Day special menu. Plus A haven’t tried @manmanunagi.keongsaik unagi yet. We were first in queue and the place was filled up very quickly at a few minutes past 6pm which is their dinner opening hour. . We both ordered their classic unagi hitsumabushi and noticed that there was grated wasabi instead of a piece of wasabi which one has to grated it the previous 2 occasions I was here N years ago. ▪️unagi was grilled to a slight crisp but I find the unagi was thin and not thick ▪️me and A favourite style is to eat this with dashi and spring onion [photo 2] ▪️there was also a saucer of sliced yellow pickled radish and a sachet of sliced seaweed ▪️I did not consume the grated wasabi and A took some of mine after finishing his and apparently it’s spicy enough to unblock his blocked nose ▪️there was a small bowl of daishi soup with some kelp and sliced fishcakes. . Finished this in 19 minutes 😋😋😋😋😋. . Food is still good but seat wise it was quite cramped and close to the neighboring tables. . #unagihitsumabushi #manmanunagi #notsponsored
