I've been listening to Hip-Hop for over half my life. I think I fully feel in love with it when I saw the #onemic music video come out while visiting my grandparents in Florida ( we did not have cable growing up so I wouldn't have seen it otherwise) I'm never forgetting the first time i listened to #middlechild ,I knew I'd been waiting to hear a track like that for a long time. And for JCole to play #loveyourz after straight up, REsetting his intentions, reminded me of how beneficial a track like that would have been for me as a young kid who was embarrassed by not having sh*t like cable TV and brand name clothing. .
