Since I kindly request clients to respect my cancelation policies. It's only fair if I talked about what happens if I, as a lash artist canceled client's appointments. In the past 7 years of running a lash business, I had to cancel appointments because of migraines & sensitive stomach problems. Total of 5 days in 7 years, including once that the nurse decided to give me oxygen instead of giving migraine injection as I usually get. So, I stuck at the Palms. LOL Yes, 5 days only because I dedicated myself to being a reliable lash artist. So... how is it fair? 1st thing first, I don't get paid sick days, so I lost income over those 5 days. Then, I made it up for my clients with.... ๐Finding the spots for them asap. ๐ฉทTaking appointments at 7 pm. ๐Giving discounts. ๐Upgrading their lash sets without charging more for a lifetime. ๐They became my super VIP. Some of us lash artists do lashes full-time. It's not a hobby. Doing lashes is our income, to pay for food, to pay bills, to buy supplies etc. ๐We don't get paid sick days, holidays, or leaves. We have to work to get paid. When clients cancel the day or 2 days before the appointment, we aren't likely to be able to find someone to fill the spot. Therefore, I understand & I don't mind if the client canceled 48 hours or more before the appointment. I am likely to lose the income YES, but I have to take it ( sadly.) Do I wish this to happen often? Absolutely not. So, if the client kept canceling the appointments, this means Goodbye. Because I can't take too much loss. I don't serve the client who doesn't have simple understanding, who is lack of sympathy, who doesn't value my profession. Full-time workers like yourself wouldn't want to get paid less, not even $50 less on that week. We (lash artists) don't either. Please don't think that we take advantage of clients from charging fees, because the fact is... we still lose. This natural lash condition after getting lashes from me for a year.๐ Still healthy as they should be. And I am proud. Because Asain lashes are sooo difficult to isolate. They are so fine, so many, so hard to see even with magnifying glasses on !! So, they are so easily get glued on together. I too make mistakes, I too don't isolate 100% correctly. But I take my time, doing my best & very careful at isolation & placement. So lashes are nice & stay healthy, won't get badly damaged. Because I need natural lashes to work on. I take 3 clients maximum a day because I want to take my time giving clients the best quality lash set. I take time to make sure that the lashes are perfect & are going to last. Lashing slow but surely & making client feel comfortable. Then after finishing a lash set, I have to clean up tools, wiping down everything I have touched & client touched with antibacterial wipes (even the door handle, Eftpos machine ,etc). Then, I give little break for my eyes. So my eyes can function 100% , can see tiny natural lashes clearly. I don't want to be looking at the clock & thinking "oh next client is coming in 30 minutes & I need to finish this set, clean up now before next one arrives!!๐". I wish I made more ๐ฒ๐ฒ by taking more clients in a day?. Oh heck yes!!. But I can never do it even if I tried. I would feel too guilty for not keeping my standards. D's are how many little lashes are in 1 lash fan. Such as... 3D, 4D, 5D, 10D, 30D, 40D If any lash tech can count how many little lashes in the lash fan they make, they are amazingly talented. But I can't, I don't count how many little lashes are in my lash fans. I handmade each fan as I go, customize each fan to suit different set...natural set or volume or mega set, to suit different natural lashes...the very thin, the strong natural lashes, depends on different thickness of lashes are used. Honestly it's very very difficult to count how many little lashes go into 1 little fan. Unless Premade fans are used. Premade fans are already made lash fans & have selections of the D's. Most lash tech/artist focus on isolating natural lashes, we make the fan, we focus on where to place the fan, the best angle for the direction of extension, as much glue area on extension to natural lash as possible..so it has better retention & etc. Then, we have to check that both sides are even, Then, we brush brush to check that extensions are secured & attached properly.
